Thunder Bay's own little "Woodstock"... A concert put on by LU Engineering students ...these guys knew how to Party..!!! In the summer of 1983 they hauled generators and built a makeshift stage in a private sand pit out of town. I remember not being able to leave since we got there early to gig and we got landlocked by the massive amounts of cars blocking the road in (after narcs tried to enter without paying). This was a great time, and the success of it lead to the Sandjam 2, where a riot broke out,a cop car got overturned and set on fire...it's only Rock and Roll, but we like it ;-)
