IMPLICIT FAITH have been playing their brand of classic hard rock around the city for many years. In fact, the band will be celebrating their seventh anniversary in two month's time. Over the years, the band has experienced feast and famine when it comes to getting steady gigs. Although they have played most local clubs including opening for Honeymoon Suite, they are currently in a dry stretch.

According to Henry Suutari, rhythm guitarist for the band, the biggest change that he has noticed on the local music front has been the explosion of talen resulting in a lot of new bands creating a mini Seattle phenomenon.

In addition to Henry, IMPLICIT FAITH is made up of Dave Miskimins, lead vocals and lead guitar, Ladis Suarez on bass, and Dan Granholm on drums. The band was formed when a mutual friend introduced Henry and Dave in the Study of L.U. The musical connection between the two guitarists and songwriters has been the glue that has bonded the group together ever since.

Other local bands that IMPLICIT FAITH associate with include the DERIVATIVES, of which Dave is also a member, their good friends from CENTERLINE and the MINISTERS OF PERSUASION one of whom lent a hand when the guys played in Fort Frances.

That road trip has whetted their appetite for touring. Once the band plays a few more local gigs to build momentum, they hope to hit the road and see Canada in rock and roll style.
