When Armani's nightclub and restaurant opened in the former Kresge Department Store in the mid 90's, the five-piece house-band retained the name of the former tenant. The Kresge 5 hosted a 6-10 Cocktail Party every Friday to get the Thunder Bay weekend started. The weekly soiree was well attended as the event continued for the better part of three years while the band improved steadily and played on over several ownership changes.
