Biography

Alright fuckers, let me tell you about the goddam Phasers On Stun.

First, we got Young Paul Thompson on the lead Guitar machine. Next, there was one "Little" Sean Middleton on the 88's and 73's. The legendary Brothers Rhyno (well, legendary in their own minds) filled out the rhythm section; Mark and Greg on Bass and Drums respectively. The ghost of "Cucumbers" Thibideau still haunts their old home on Koivu Road to this day.

Like Port Arthur, Fort William, and a dash of Current River, the Phasers amalgamated the best of 70s Punk (The Clash, Television), 60s pop (The Who, Zombies), and threw in a bit of 70s riff rock (Kiss, AC/DC) for good measure.

The Phasers On Stun lived through five years, countless haircuts, and one severe atomic wedgie delivered to YPT by the nefarious Simon Head Having opened for the likes of every half-assed indie rock band in Canada, the Phasers live show was unsurpassed in the T-Bay for sheer ass-shakery and high-kickery.

So, if they were so great, what happened to the Phasers On Stun? Well, my friend, like Billy Joel once said, only the good die young. But, you may argue, those guys were bad ass motherfuckers! Well then, smartypants, you can visit their partial reincarnation at www.theparkas.com.

Let's go for a ride.
