+ | Forever Dead are an electrifying female fronted punk band that have been intoxicating fans of Hardcore Punk, Psychobilly, Ska, Metal, and Rock'N'Roll with their own concoction of sound that can only be described as the sound track to your nightmares. Their unpredictable and fierce stage show leaves their audience begging for more. Formed in 2005 by Chelsea Heart (lead vocals), Jessica Hochins (keyboard and back up vocals), Marc Viherkoski (guitar), George Gratz (upright bass), and Tyler Gratz (drums) Forever Dead set out to bring new life to the psychobilly genre. Since the beginning Forever Dead have shared the stage with an assortment of bands like The Creepshow, The Matadors, Trole, The Gutter Demons, The Brains, Switchblade Valentines, The Farrell Bros., Ab Irato, None More Black, The Flatliners, The Toasters, The Peacocks, Fuck the Facts, The Ripcordz, The Saint Catherine's, The Vibrators and many more. In 2006 Forever Dead recorded their first EP titled "Rev up the Pinch Nipskies" which featured "Dance with the Reaper", "Someone's Blood is on My Skirt" and "Skitzo, Psycho, Mad". After the DIY release of the EP Forever Dead were featured on a local television special called "Unsigned" which was aired on Thunder Bay Television. The show featured three performance videos and an interview. Forever Dead have also been featured on CBC Radio's Bandwidth and have been released on compilations; "Revenge of the Hot Rod Zombies" (Boss Beat Records) and "Fins'n'Needles" (Hairball 8 Records). In late 2007 Forever Dead recorded "Not Quite Dead Yet" which was released D.I.Y on July 18th 2008 and distributed through Indiepool. The album featured 12 tracks devoted to horror, blood shed, and pure madness. Immediately following the albums releases Forever Dead began touring. Following the tour, in August of 2008 keyboard player Jessica Hochins, made the decision to further pursue her education and leave Forever Dead. Forever Dead are currently writing new material and playing shows in Thunder Bay. | ||
