Quinoa has become the versatile super food I can ever think of because it won't alter the taste of other ingredients. You can cook it and serve it any way you want there are a huge number of recipes for quinoa that you can find online. People are kind enough to express their quinoa recipes to us. I like starting my day which has a bowl of quinoa because I feel that I convey more energy.

Quinoa isn't a new miracle discovery. In fact many experts have a staple crop with the indigenous peoples of the Andes Mountains more than 6000 years. The Incas named it the "mother grain" and tried it in religious rites. Quinoa isn't an actual grain, its a seed. The quinoa plant is related to spinach, swiss chard and beets. The seed has many of the properties within grains.

Quinoa, pronounced as "keen-WAH", will be the superfood I am suggesting of. It is a quasi-grain rich with most of the essential nutrients your body needs. It has long been the complete food with the Inca tribe, moving into the Andes Mountains of South America. When I say complete food, you should not do a double-take. You're seeing it right, which is a fact. Quinoa grains include complete nutrition - it's a go, grow and glow food. I know... the health advantages of Quinoa can be extremely awesome.

I start to walk, oh no to run, to outstrip the torrent that now pushes shoreward. Horseshoe crabs disappear under the sand and spider crabs cling to watery grasses, their legs trailing to their rear like umbrellas in the Boston wind. But I take no notice as I am pursued through the incoming tide. You bring the water to the boil and put the la quinoa in the pot. Bring back for the boil and after that simmer for 12 - 18 minutes. This is 2 minutes longer than white quinoa. As it cooks you will notice the germ with the grain appear and curl round the rest of the grain. As the grain is red along with the germ is white this looks very attractive and appetising. It is this germ that provides the crunchy feel on the grain. It also adds a slight nut flavour towards the seed.
