Quinoa is the Best Astronaut Food

It has only held it's place in the last ten years that quinoa may be widely available in the western world. In fact, some grocery stores still don't carry this tiny seed. Because most people did not develop eating quinoa, so many people are confused about how you can cook quinoa. This is especially true for red quinoa, since it is not as widely accessible as white quinoa. Here are some tips to cooking quinoa!

I love serving quinoa comprar with my personal favorite meat- chicken, both ingredients taste excellent together. One simple recipe that I found will be the quinoa chicken with garlic. To make this recipe you will need: 1 cup uncooked quinoa, 2 cups chicken broth, 20 leaves fresh basil (chopped), 1 ½ lbs chicken breasts (cubed), 4 tablespoons organic olive oil, 1 onion (diced), 1 red bell pepper (seeded and diced), 1 green bell pepper (seeded and diced), 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic and salt and pepper to taste.

Before you start cooking, you will need to rinse it thoroughly to eliminate the saponin that's on the outside of the quinoa. I like to soak it for 5 to 10 mins before rinsing, however, if you are short promptly you can skip this task. Place the quinoa in a fine colander or possibly a regular colander lined with cheesecloth. Rinse for three to four minutes, agitating together with your hands from time to time.

Fiber can be one nutrients of quinoa that I simply have to mention. I've always been constipated (not too I have to inform you) as well as I started incorporating quinoa during my diet, I started becoming regular. It's is packed with fiber that help eases elimination and yes it gets rid of toxic materials with your colon.

Quinoa is sold in nutrition stores and some large mainstream food markets as a whole grain, flakes, flour as well as in pasta products. Quinoa can be found in a range of seed colors from orange, pink and yellow to purple and black. Yellow to light, creamy-colored seeds and flours are the variety most often available in gluten-free products.
