Their music blended elements of a wide variety of genres such as rock, jazz, funk, R&B, progressive rock and blues into complex rhythms and continually revolving arrangements. Apollo Groove Shuttle was a fusion/Jam Band that was active in 95-97 and was part of a new wave of bands oriented around group improvisation and superextended grooves such as Phish and Widespread Panic.
