| − | * I was raised in the rural outskirts of Thunder Bay in a home my father built with his bare hands. The home just so happened to be built only a few hundred feet from the towering power towers that fed our home the electricity we needed. Having lived under these towers my whole life, rarely leaving the home due to the lack of interest in people and the ravages of the sun, I believe the EMF of those towers shielded me from becoming one of the many hicks, yokels and hillbillies that run wild in my small community. I slowly became obsessed with music (in all its forms) and found myself doing nothing but indulging in the auditory bliss of such bands as well they are listed on the left over there in my Influences (many others as well). My interest shifted from being a music listener to wanting to create. One day when visiting my aunt and uncle, one of my cousins showed me his new guitar. I knew immediately what I must have, my own electric guitar. The first guitar I ever owned was a Frankenstein-esc mash up of an old 67 sears electric body and a 20 fret neck of unknown origin. It played like a dead slothbut I liked itI played it and tortured all within earshot. With not one formal lesson or point in the right direction the first while of my guitar playing was pure noise. Out of tune blues riffs with overbearing bends and out of key solosI was regular prodigy of earaches and migraines. Many years passI get a little better. I play in crappy punk bands and record horrid covers of god knows what. Then I start getting it. I learn not to force it and just play. Everything comes pouring out of me in waves of sound I never thought I could make. Over the next few years I record a few armature solo albums of clean instrumentals with all the parts played by me and overlaid. After a while of this mellow feeling music I get adventurous again and start making some faster harder hitting instrumentals. This lands me with my fist mini success. My song Skudd is picked up my revolution music for a compilation they are making of Canadian artist. This gave me a whole new push to make something more and take my music in a new direction. In the summer of 2005 I landed my job at a cemetery by my home. I dig graves, operate the incinerator and occasionally cut the grass. I started recording some new rock songs with whoever was available at the time. It took about a year but its all done. The new album Dross Coven will be out May/13/06 and the songs a must for rage has already appeared on Revolution Musics new Fall/Winter 2005 compilation. I hope you enjoy.
