Born in New Liskeard, Ontario, Dave caught the music bug early in life, singing in his first music competition at the age of five.

He then moved to Longlac, where he started singing and playing in bands. Since there were few musicians in the area, Dave learned to play whatever was needed: Guitar, Drums, Keyboards, although his first instrument was Bass.

He moved to Thunder Bay to attend Lakehead University where he fronted his first professional rock band Implicit Faith for many years. He recorded two albums as bassist for The Derivatives, and did Vocals and Guitar in the power trios Grip and Homer. At his busiest, Dave was involved in four bands at once, including the wedding band Phoenix.

Most recently, he has been sharing Vocals and lead Guitar in the premier classic rock group Rewind.
