Long after the end of Dumfounded, three of the previous members went on to form Dormant Gale. The band was formed in January of 2003. Members had taken part in With Regard version 1, and Adverse Vital Signs in between Dumfounded and DG. Adam Bilenki was the newest element to bring the band to life. Their first appearance was at Rocktober 2004. While still rather unknown the band members went on hiatus during the spring of 2005. On March 30, 2006, the recording of eight songs commenced, but were not completed. Mason simultaneously played in The Green Room Side Project. Troy later joined The Cedars of Lebanon. Erc and Adam later became Riverside Downing.
