PILLAR was widely considered the top group in the Thunder Bay area from 1969 to 1972. This tight eight piece band had a big sound featuring a three piece horn section. PILLAR performed covers of Chicago, Lighthouse, Sly & the Family Stone, many other similar groups and R & B performers of the era. PILLAR performed in all of the top venues in and around Thunder Bay including Ft. William Gardens, Lakehead U, Exhibition Auditorium for Con. College, the Coliseum, all the high schools, several bars, and in arenas and high schools throughout Northwestern Ontario etc.etc. as well as opening for a few touring recording groups.
