A style of guitar playing. The rhythm guitar plays only the song. Unlike the lead (which adds someting else to the song pretty much). It takes perfect timing and locking with the drums and bass to a tee. Great lead players don't always make good rhythm players (Example: BB King said himself he could not play rhythm guitar good at all but he is a legendary lead player).
