Soundmen these days have it made compared to the 70' and 80's.
Soundmen are audio engineers that travel with a band of musicians, or manager the audio equipment for a venue, such as The Spike Coffeehouse. I idea is to control the sound of the entertainers, such that it presents them to their customers in a flatering way. It can be quite complicated in certain rooms. As equipment is getting bigger and better, the task is easier than in the 1960's and 1970's.
