Started in 2006, The Cedars of Lebanon was originally [[Jon Tornblom]] of [[With Regard]], and [[The Green Room Side Project]] starting an electronic Project.  [[Troy Balec]] of [[Dumfounded]] and [[Dormant Gale]] has joined up with him to do [[Vocals]].  The emphasis is a genuine expression of Jon and Troy's hope, joy, love and peace; that is Christ. They hope to use music as a means by which to help those around them in the most efficient way they know.  No Rock-stardom here, just expression of faith.

Cedars of Lebanon has been around for 2 years now, and it initially started with [[Jon Tornblom]] as a solo artist, but after the release of his debut album and a tour to the west coast and back with [[AVS]] and [[Jean-Paul de Roover]] in the summer of 2007, Jon married Kathleen and she has taken up vocals and keyboards as the second half of an electronic duo. Although the genre falls under electronic music (a genre notorious for "pressing play on the synthesizer"), you will hear plenty of live vocals, guitar and keyboards.

Cedars of Lebanon is a reference to Ezekiel 31 where God declares that a lofty and beautiful cedar of Lebanon will be cut down because of it's pride. It is a constant reminder to Jon and Kathleen that if evangelism and testimony become overshadowed by their own pride, God Himself will cease to bless their music.

Biography

Cedars of Lebanon has been around for 2 years now, and it initially started with Jon Tornblom as a solo artist, but after the release of his debut album and a tour to the west coast and back with AVS and Jean-Paul de Roover in the summer of 2007, Jon married Kathleen and she has taken up vocals and keyboards as the second half of an electronic duo.
