In the end of 1968, or early 1969, The Good Time Band played the Jolly Roger Room at the Park Mount Hotel in Port Arthur, now called Thunder Bay, Ontario. They added two new members, Peter Demian and Huck Heerema and continued to tour the bars and clubs in Ontario and Michigan. Their base of operations was the Park Lounge in Detroit, Mighigan. John Gibbard left the group in fall of 1969 to play for Ronnie Hawkins and then became part of Crowbar. The Good Time Band reformed, adding a female vocalist and piano, eventually becoming one of the top bands in the Detroit area.
