Location

439 Memorial Avenue

This location, adjacent to the Super 8, has been host to many venues.

The Sleeping Giant

The Sleeping Giant, AKA The Sleezy G, was a club that was home to many local and out of town rock bands. It flourished in the 80's, and was remodelled inside and became Coyotes in the 90's.

Ahhhh, 80's large hair metal in its prime, The Sleezy G was. It had a dark atmosphere inside, the bands were loud, lotsa fights, fun place ;-)

Coyotes

Coyotes was western-themed. Eventually, it burnt down due to arson. After some time being vacant, it was resurrected as Wazooz.

Wazooz

This name was chosen in a contest. It wasn't long before it was discovered that 'wazoo' is a euphemism for 'anus', and the bar was once again renamed.

The Zoo

This name was stable for a time, until the bar was renamed and rethemed as Warp 9.

Warp 9

Warp 9 burnt down (arson) in 2005, and was moved to The Orpheum building on Court St.

C2

C2 opened in 2008. The sound system is reputed to be excellent.
