They played at all the top venues in the area, were the opening band for several touring groups including Eric Burdon & The Animals, and were often the headliner at the monthly Bandoramas held at the [[Ft. The Thorns were widely considered the top rock and R & B band in Thunder Bay from the mid to late 60's playing covers of the big British Invasion hits from bands like the Rolling Stones, Animals and Van Morrison, R & B hits from the greats like James Brown, as well as top 10 songs.
