Sud Strings
Sud Strings ist eine Rockband aus dem Jahre 2008 und besteht aus den Mitgliedern Michael Kick, Dominik Franke, Christian Vlökers und Matthias Derichs.
Geschichte
Michael Kick und Dominik Franke spielen schon vorher eine lange Zeit zusammen und haben ohne die Motivation zu verlieren immer versucht eine ordentliche Band auf die Beine zu stellen. Nachdem sie allerdings mit diversen Musikern versucht haben zu spielen hat es nie wirklich gepasst. Aus diesem Grund schalteten sie Mitte 2008 eine Anzeige in der Sie einen Sänger suchten. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt spielte Christian Vlökers schon seit kurzer Zeit bei ihnen Bass. Matthias Derichs reagierte auf die Anzeige und nach ein paar Proben war das Quartett komplett.
Bandnamen
Der Name Sud Strings ist aus einer ganzen Reihe von Namensvorschlägen herausgelöst worden. Er hat nach eigenen Angaben keinen besonderen Hintergrund. Hier sei zu erwähnen, dass Christian Vlökers lieber den Namen "Early Days" als Bandnamen gehabt hätte - allerdings entschieden sich die restlichen Bandmitglieder dagegen. Nun ziert bei Auftritten ein "Early Days"-Logo seinen Bass.
Songs
Die Band Sud Strings möchte Hauptsächlich eigene Musik entwerfen aber da diese Band noch sehr jung ist, hat sie sich erst mal an ein paar Coversongs versucht. Allerdings ist geplant in Zukuft nur eigene Songs zu spielen.
