From Keewatin, Ontario, Wayne learned to play bass guitar at a very young age. His excellent ear for music made him an extremely important member of the band and ensured that whenever new songs were learned, the chords and the arrangements would be absolutely correct.

Wayne remained with [[Satan and the D-Men]] until the band�s demise in 1967 and after spending some time in Vancouver, he joined a group of musicians from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario called, The [[Vendetta]].
