Biography

From Keewatin, Ontario, Wayne learned to play bass guitar at a very young age. His excellent ear for music made him an extremely important member of the band and ensured that whenever new songs were learned, the chords and the arrangements would be absolutely correct.

Wayne remained with Satan and the D-Men until the band"s demise in 1967 and after spending some time in Vancouver, he joined a group of musicians from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario called, The Vendettas.

From here, Wayne could be found playing bass guitar for a short while with "Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins" in Toronto and area and also spent some time as bassist for the well-known group called, "The Bells" whose recording of the song, "Fly Little White Dove Fly" has proven to be somewhat of a Canadian classic. Wayne also appeared with StoneRidge for a short time during the recording of the album.

He attended the first three Satan and the D-Men reunion dances but has since to make it as he is living and working in Nanaimo, British Columbia and getting the time off has been difficult.

Wayne's vocal leads, harmonies and expertise has been missed greatly by the band and we wish him well. He continues to perform with his newly-formed band and loves the British Columbia weather as compared to the cold winters of Northwestern Ontario.
