Biography

Crosstown started as a blues band and was formed by Jerry Depiero, Dave Campbell and Gord Ellis in Dave's basement some time in 1985. The band had a few different band mates, including Randy Breiland, Gord's friend since nursery school. But for most of the 5 years they played, the band was Dave Campbell on drums, Dave Smythe on guitar, Bernie Snook on bass, Jerry Depiero on vocals and harp and Gord Ellis on guitar and vocals. Crosstown did countless gigs, learned well over 100 blues, R and B and rock standards and played just about every room that had a stage in Thunder Bay. The band broke up in July 1989.
