Biography

Chad, Chris and Erik all had a deep, shared musical history beginning their early teens. Erik and Chad started their first band together with Virus, and later shared guitar duties in Mobius. Chad later started the bands Bubblegum Crisis and The Furies with Chris.

After Erik left Thunder Bay to go to school in London, On. he started looking for people to play some of the new songs he'd been writing. He eventually found a local drummer named Shawn, who turned out to be quite versatile in his playing which suited the very dynamic direction of the music. Chris and Chad had been jamming informally when Chris received a call from Erik asking him to come play guitar for his new project. Since Chris had planned on going to college in London that year, it was an easy decision to make. They began writing together and, after unsuccessfully trying to find a suitable bass player, decided to give Chad a call. Chad was excited by the idea of a change and drove down, never having played bass before.

In the summer of 1998 the four met up and began writing and practicing in what would be the final incarnation of the band. They played various shows around London and, while Chris was attending Fanshawe college's Music Industry Arts program, began recording their only album of music.

It was during the recording of the album that cracks in the band's foundation began to show. Drummer Shawn became less reliable and personalities within the group clashed. Creative differences and problems of control got worse. Upon completion of the final mixes things came to a head and the band dissolved. Chad decided to move back to Thunder Bay to get engaged, while Erik continued with school and got married. Chris eventually moved back to Thunder Bay and eventually began The Furies with Chad, although their personal and creative relationship would only last a few more years.
