Bio- (from the Chris Krienke and Strawdawg site)

'MR. PERSONALITY', says it all! ARDEN BRUYERE, the bands vocalist and bassist, with his energetic showmanship and charismatic presence motivates audiences of all ages. Arden was raised in a musical family of Ojibway decent and started entertaining at the ripe old age of ten. He learned his first chords on a guitar his brother received for Christmas and first stepped in front of an audience five months later. He then knew music was his lifelong passion and he would carry on a long-standing family tradition of making music.

During his teenage years he honed his craft playing in high school dances and other various social functions with the successful band Flash. Once all the members of the band finished school they took their act on the road playing the club circuit of Western Canada. After three years the band parted ways and Arden, with guitarist/ Vocalist Victor Armit formed a duet called The Two Man Trio. They successfully toured the prairies for another three years. After six years of the nightclub circuit Arden decided it was time for a change and went back to school to study music.

He spent the next two years in private lessons for Voice, Piano and Bass guitar while attending a liberal arts degree from a Minnesota college. He then applied to the Bemidji State University School of Music in Minnesota and was accepted with a partial scholarship. He studied classical and operatic vocal technique under the direction of Dr. Fulton Gallagher and Dr. Paul Brandyik.

Once school was finished Arden moved to Thunder Bay and worked in a number of jobs while playing in a number of bands before joining forces with Chris. Playing in Strawdawg they toured most on the United States before settling back down in Thunder Bay. Arden's 35 years in the music business is reflected in his every performance. He has a natural comfort with the stage and spotlight and his charisma speaks for itself.
