From Thunder Bay Bandwiki
Not sure where to discuss this, but...
Scope Of The Bandwiki: A band listed here should follow at meet one of these criteria:
- Has played at least one show
- Has recorded "a few" songs at decent quality
- Was important in the development of someone who later became notable
- Is located in Thunder Bay, or contains at least 2 otherwise notable Thunder Bay musicians
- Is located in NorthWest Ontario, and has some ties to Thunder Bay
So, bands that wouldn't otherwise be included:
- A myspace-only band, with a couple of low-quality songs
- Exception: JMBB could be valid, as it contains Jimmy Laukka
- An out-of-town band
- Exception: Phoenix from Burlington, as two of the members have like 25 local bands between them
- A band that jammed, but didn't otherwise play shows or produce recordings
- Exception: The Myke Harris Power Explosion, as each of the members has between 5-20 bands listed, and the fact that Mike and Harris played together is worthy of note
I tend to be an inclusionist; I'd rather have more bands listed than less, and use other means to separate which ones were really important after all.
As for people, I wouldn't make a page for someone unless they have at least 2 bands, or there's otherwise something interesting about them.
