Biography

Instruments were bought to begin this band, and though the lineup saw many changes, Trash Kitten never quite made it out of the basement. Only one recording was ever made, and it was rumoured that Mike Guerin destroyed that 4-track tape after a bad break up with Cora-Rae Silk. Instruments were sold shortly after.

Edit: Not to break down the "legend", but there were several tapes. Two 1/2" 2-track reel-to-reel tapes recorded on a shitbeaten Otari mastering deck, and one 4-track tape. The two-track tapes fell victim to a basement flood when Me and Cora were still living together (in fact, a large amount of archive material, including old Reel-To-Reel tapes of Us Or Them and Stealing Food fell victime to said flood), and as with any 4-track tape in my studio in those days, after the final mix was done, it was wiped (in fact, I believe the wiped tape sat in a box until it was used to record some of The Violet Hour's "End It All". The re-use of tapes was pretty much due to the fact that I was broke.). The mix and safety copy have either fell victim to time, or they still exist in storage. Nobody will ever hear these, though. From what I know about the gear:

  • Cora got out of music and sold her stuff (Nice girl, but a guitar was more like a fashion accessory)
  • Mike K used his stuff well into his "Society's Norm" days.
  • Mary went on to be in GI Jill and Fiction
  • Al......I have no idea
  • Bill Quinn never actually played an instrument when he was in the band, and in fact didn't really say much either. I think he was supposed to play guitar.
  • My drums were a workhorse kit until about 2000, when I purchased a brand new set of Pearls and sold my "old blues" to Renny Kivari. New kit got sold about 4 months later to buy a sampler.

........thus ends the saga of another band nobody cared about or will remember.
